Born and raised in the DMV region, Erik brings more than twenty years of experience representing clients throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia in complex family law matters.
Mediation
Erik provides experienced family law mediation services in Maryland and D.C. for divorce cases, child custody matters/parenting plan negotiations, child support matters, and post-judgment modification or enforcement actions.
Expert Witness
Attorneys and judges rely on Erik’s balanced, data-driven approach, which is informed by years of practice in family law and a strong understanding of what constitutes fair and appropriate billing in contested domestic relations cases.

After more than two decades practicing family law at boutique and mid-sized firms throughout the District of Columbia and Maryland, Erik founded Arena Family Law, LLC in 2026 with a clear purpose: to provide exceptional legal representation that remains accessible to the people who need it most.

Integrity
Erik’s work ethic and sense of integrity were shaped early by his late father, a former U.S. Marine, who instilled in Erik the importance of discipline, resilience, and creative problem-solving.
Creativity
Outside the courtroom, Erik’s background in the outdoors, competitive athletics, and home maintenance renovation work reflects a mindset he brings to legal practice: even the most complex problems can be broken down, understood, and rebuilt with patience, strategy, and grit.
Relentlessness
As an Eagle Scout, Erik developed a lasting appreciation for service, leadership, and maintaining composure in challenging environments. Outside of work, Erik still enjoys testing his fortitude in challenging environments, including endurance obstacle course racing (e.g. World’s Toughest Mudder), backpacking, and distance running. He is currently training for the Marine Corp ultra-Marathon.
